Samantha Tierney studied Roman & Greek Architecture. The artist work combines both modern & ancient techniques to create unique pieces with a contemporary twist to ancient times.

Method

Each pot goes through many stages to get the finished piece. The pots are made from moulds which are created from scratch. Each pot has its own individual pattern and transfer on it and each rim is hand carved. After carving, each pot goes through three firings, and is finally finished with screen prints converted into a ceramic transfers which is the black pattern you see.
